Japanese Language Club of South Africa - Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Japanese Language Club of South Africa! As a member of our community, we expect all individuals to adhere to the following code of conduct to ensure a positive and enriching experience for everyone:

 

    • Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all members with respect and kindness, regardless of their background, language proficiency, or experience level. Embrace diversity and create an inclusive environment.
    • Language Use: Use Japanese language learning opportunities to the best of your ability. Encourage fellow members to practice and learn together. Be patient and supportive with learners of all levels.
    • Positive Behavior: Maintain a positive and constructive attitude during club activities and events. Avoid disruptive or negative behavior that may impact the experience of others.
  • Open Communication: Foster open and respectful communication. Share ideas, ask questions, and provide feedback in a constructive manner. Listen actively to others and value their perspectives.
  • Respect for Club Property: Treat club facilities, materials, and equipment with care. Report any damage or issues promptly. Help maintain a clean and organized environment for everyone.
  • Privacy and Consent: Respect the privacy of fellow members. Obtain consent before taking photos or sharing personal information. Be mindful of the confidentiality of club discussions.
    • No Discrimination or Harassment: The Japanese Language Club of South Africa has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or bullying. Any form of discriminatory behavior will result in immediate action, including potential membership termination.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Be punctual for club activities and events. If you are unable to attend, inform the organizers in advance. Respect the time and efforts of fellow members and organizers.
  • Conflict Resolution: If conflicts arise, address them respectfully and constructively. Seek resolution through open communication and, if necessary, involve club organizers to mediate.
  • Adherence to Club Policies: Follow all club policies, including membership terms and conditions. Stay informed about any updates or changes communicated through official channels.

 

By being a member of the Japanese Language Club of South Africa, you agree to uphold and abide by this code of conduct. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, including potential membership termination.
